Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. -2 Timothy 2:15

Welcome to Hoosier Hills Bible Institute.

August of 2018, Hoosier Hills Bible Institute was started by our pastors here at Hope Baptist Church. Initially, class times started 10 minutes after our Sunday evening service and lasted 45minutes to an hour. August 2018-March 2019, we studied what the Bible says about Homiletics, the Book of John, Deacons, and the Mysteries of the Bible. Evangelist Phi Gabbard taught on Homiletics, Deacons, and Mysteries of the Bible, and Pastor Tom Holt taught a couples lessons on the Book of John. After these classes wrapped up, COVID and the switching of senior pastors put a short interruption on the running of Hoosier Hills Bible Institute.

October of 2023, or senior Pastor Jeremiah Gabbard restarted Hoosier Hills Bible Institute with two new classes. Hermeneutics and Bibliology. We ran the institute a little differently this time around. We held the institute on Thursday evenings from 7-9 pm. Two classes were taught every other Thursday evening. We partnered with Pastor Todd Gabbard at Tree of Life Baptist Church in Morristown, Tennessee to bring a class on Hermeneutics and our own Pastor Jeremiah Gabbard taught a class on Bibliology. These classes were taught in person at Hope Baptist Church and Tree of Life Baptist Church, but were also hosted and recorded on Zoom so students could join in person, on Zoom from their homes, or do a self-study from class files that were posted on institute student’s page each Monday following Thursday evening class.

Our goal for this institute is to help preachers, teachers, pastors, and other workers in the church to learn more about the Bible and to grow in their relationship with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. These classes will be in lecture format with the opportunity to email our teachers questions or, depending on how things go, the opportunity to get clarity on the topic being taught at times set aside before or after classes. These classes are designed for serious students and will be taught at a college level with the expectation that you are already saved, baptized, and have a good understanding of the basic doctrines of the Bible. Please come with a Bible, a way to take notes, and a heart open to learn what God wants you to learn. We are happy you are here. Please contact us with any questions.

Bible Institute classes are wrapped up for 2023. We plan on resuming with new classes in August of 2024. Once we get closer to August, we will update interested students with the classes being taught and schedule for each class.
