Homiletics - Introduction
Homiletics is the art and science of preaching, focusing on how to effectively communicate God’s Word to a congregation. It equips preachers to share biblical truths in a way that engages, instructs, and transforms listeners.
Purpose of Homiletics
The goal of homiletics is to present the Bible clearly and persuasively, not just to inform but to inspire spiritual change. It calls both preacher and audience to respond to God’s truth in everyday life.
Key Components
1. Exegesis: Proper interpretation of Scripture in its original context.
2. Structure: Organizing the sermon for clarity and flow.
3. Delivery: Engaging the audience through effective communication.
4. Application: Connecting biblical truths with practical life application.
